Community Amenities at Shoreside Village

One of the things families love most about Shoreside Village is the sense of privacy within steps of all the action. The entire complex is gated, with a car entrance on Blaine Ave and six pedestrian gates around the perimeter. Access requires a key fob, so you can relax knowing the community stays safe and secure throughout your stay.

At the heart of the complex is a sunny central courtyard with a heated pool — the ideal spot to unwind between beach trips. The pool is typically heated in May and June, and during peak summer months it soaks up sunshine until around 3 p.m., when shade rolls over the courtyard. It’s a great option for the little ones who need a break from the ocean, or for anyone who wants to keep swimming after you’ve had your fill of the waves.

Community Highlights:

  • Gated complex with key fob entry — no outside foot traffic
  • Heated pool in the central courtyard
  • Private two-car garage with every unit
  • Private rooftop terraces on all 4- and 5-bedroom homes
  • Private balconies on every townhouse
  • Beach shower in each foyer — rinse off before you even come inside
  • En-suite bathrooms in every bedroom

Unit Guide

Choosing the Right Unit at Shoreside Village

Not all 24 townhouses are alike — location within the complex makes a real difference in your experience, so here’s what to know before you book.

North-facing units (Blaine Ave side): These homes tend to be the quietest in the complex, especially in the afternoons. Balconies get more shade as the day goes on — great if you’re someone who prefers a cooler outdoor space. Many of these units also feature upgraded kitchen appliances with the kitchen positioned in the center of the main floor.

East-facing units (Ocean Terrace side): These are the widest units in the complex, with a layout that’s broader and shorter than the others. If rooftop ocean views are a priority, these are your best bet. The kitchens face the pool courtyard. Keep in mind that Ocean Terrace is a busier street, so expect a bit more noise on the balconies.

South-facing units (Sumner Ave side): These homes get shade in the early morning and plenty of sun for the rest of the day. The kitchens in most of these units look out onto the pool — a nice perk when you’re cooking and keeping an eye on the kids. Sumner Ave is one of the main streets into town, so there’s some traffic noise to consider.

Center units: The three units tucked into the center of the complex are all 2-bedroom homes. They have main-floor balconies but no rooftop terraces. A great choice if you want a cozy, lower-key retreat without all the stairs.

Frequently Asked Questions About Shoreside Village

Are grills allowed at Shoreside Village?

Gas, charcoal, and propane grills are not permitted anywhere in the complex. This isn’t an arbitrary rule — New Jersey fire codes prohibit open-flame grills on combustible balconies and within 10 feet of combustible construction, and the layout of Shoreside Village doesn’t allow enough clearance to comply. That said, some units do provide electric grills, so check with your individual owner when booking. For everything else, the fully equipped kitchens are well up to the task.

Where Do Guests Park?

Every unit at Shoreside Village includes a private garage that fits at least two cars (dimensions vary slightly by unit).

During summer rental weeks, many owners also provide a parking tag that lets you use metered street spots throughout Seaside Heights. Free street parking is available west of Central Ave year-round, and there are several paid lots around town if you need additional space. lots throughout Seaside.

During off peak months, parking on the street is free.

When Is The Pool Open?

The pool typically opens Memorial Day weekend and stays open through September, though the exact dates can shift slightly from year to year. During the summer season, pool hours are generally 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The pool is heated in May and June; during peak summer months it warms up naturally in the sun. Please note the pool is not open overnight.

Are Prom Rentals Allowed?

Shoreside Village is a family-oriented community and does not accommodate prom groups or large party rentals. The complex is designed for families and groups who want a relaxed, respectful environment — and that’s exactly what makes it such a great fit for multi-generational vacation groups.

What’s Included In Most Units?

Most units come with linens and towels, but this varies by owner — always confirm when booking. Shared community amenities include the heated pool, gated courtyard, and key fob access. Individual unit extras range from beach towels and bikes to cocktail machines and gym equipment, so it’s worth reading each listing carefully.

Is Shoreside Village good for families with young children?

Absolutely. The gated complex means kids can move around safely, the beach is seconds away, and many units (including Unit 18) have pack-and-plays and extra cots. The pool is a huge hit with younger guests, and the proximity to Casino Pier and Breakwater Beach means there’s always something to do when the kids need a change of scenery.
