Lavallette NJ is a small borough in Ocean County. The borough was named for Elbridge Thomas Lavallette, a U.S. Representative from New Jersey. The tiny population of 1,510 swells in the summer months when vacationers flock from all over New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.

Located in the ‘center’ of the Jersey Shore it is the only dry town in Ocean County. It was also one of the few towns in New Jersey that was not severely damaged by Hurricane Sandy in October 2012.

The town is small and charming, with a friendly atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. There are no motels or hotels in Lavallette NJ. You will either need to go north to Point Pleasant or south to Seaside Heights or Seaside Park.
