After Sandy, the Pier generated lots of controversy when they launched their brand new ride the ‘Superstorm’ for the 2013 season. Some people upset with the insensitivity of the name, riders are seated in a circle extended from a pendulum. The ride begins to spin around in a circle while swinging back and forth and crescendos when the ride goes upside down making a 360 degree revolution!

The Ferris wheel is one of the most iconic attractions at Casino Pier. The wheel has been a staple of the pier for years, and offers riders stunning views of the Jersey Shore. Visitors can take a leisurely ride on the Ferris wheel, or opt for a more adrenaline-pumping experience by riding in one of the wheel’s swing cars. No matter what your preference, the Seaside Heights Ferris wheel is a must-ride attraction.

Casino Pier Night Time

The Hydrus is one of the newest and most popular roller coasters at Casino Pier. This extreme ride reaches speeds of up to 60 miles per hour, making it one of the fastest rides at the park. The coaster features a vertical lift hill, multiple inversions, and a thrilling drop into a dark tunnel. Riders must be at least 48 inches tall to experience the Hydrus, making it one of the more extreme rides at Casino Pier. Those who are looking for a thrill will not be disappointed by this coaster.

The Musik Express is another classic ride that’s been entertaining visitors at Casino Pier for years. Riders board a brightly colored train car and take off on a journey through the amusement park. The ride features twists, turns, and hills to keep riders entertained the whole way through. It’s the perfect ride for pre teens to adults, it is insanely fast and tons of fun.

And lets not forget about the Historic Dentzel/Looff Carousel at Casino Pier is now over 100 years old! A family favorite in our house…we were so happy it survived with no damage. We can’t make it out of the arcade with less than 3 rides…. In the past couple of years the Carousel was traded to the town of Seaside and will be placed in the north end of town in the new Pavilion.

For more family fun or a great date night be sure to check out the wacky rooftop miniature golf course. Situated across several rooftops, spectacular views of the Atlantic and a challenging but fun course will be an event to remember.

Rides generally open the second weekend of April. Don’t forget, the Pier runs ride specials all summer long. Each day during the week offers bracelets for unlimited rides, half price tickets or a similar deal for a certain time period. One more tip to make the most out of your money. Each year, Casino Pier runs an Easter sale. The prices for rides, go carts and water park are almost half price. Use those tickets on half price ticket day and you are basically paying one fourth the price for each ride!
